Amaechi pledges support for private investors
The Minister of Transportation, Mr Rotimi Amaechi, has called for more private sector investments in the logistics, maritime, railways, aviation and other industries in the transportation industry.
He said government on his part was willing to provide policy support and conducive environment for private businesses to thrive.
Amaechi spoke yesterday at the 2018 Africa Forum of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) holding in Abuja.
The forum has the theme: “Building capacity for efficient logistics and transport services in Africa.”
The minister who was represented by Director Planning and Research of the ministry, Alhaji Wakil Adamu, pointed out that investment opportunities abound in the transportation sector as Nigeria is a favourable investment destination.
National President CILT Nigeria, Mr. Ibrahim Jibril, said the organisation had been adding value to Nigeria’s economy.
