Delta, Ji­gawa APC en­dorse Buhari’s can­di­dacy

The APC in Delta State yes­ter­day unan­i­mously en­dorsed the can­di­dacy of Pres­i­dent Muham­madu Buhari for the 2019 elec­tion.

Ad­dress­ing press­men af­ter the di­rect pres­i­den­tial pri­mary elec­tion at Evwreni ward, the leader of APC Delta, Oloro­gun O’tega Emer­hor, reaf­firmed their sup­port for PMB’s re-elec­tion bid.

Oloro­gun Emer­hor praised Pres­i­dent Buhari for his in­tegrity and the fight against cor­rup­tion, the de­vel­op­ment of the Niger Delta re­gion and the so­cial in­ter­ven­tion pro­grams, while call­ing on Deltans to sup­port him.

The Ex­ec­u­tive Di­rec­tor, Projects of the Niger Delta De­vel­op­ment Com­mis­sion (NDDC), Engr. Sa­muel Ad­jogbe, said the de­vel­op­ment of Niger Delta by Pres­i­dent Buhari through the NDDC showed that the pres­i­dent loves the re­gion.

Pres­i­dent Muham­madu Buhari, scored 202,599 votes out of the 253,073 in the APC pres­i­den­tial pri­mary elec­tion in Ji­gawa State yes­ter­day.

The Re­turn­ing Of­fi­cer of the elec­tion, Gov­er­nor Mo­hammed Badaru Abubakar, de­clared the re­sult in Dutse, say­ing, 202,599 out 253,073 regis­tered mem­bers of the party voted for the pres­i­dent in 287 wards of the state.

Ac­cord­ing to him, the party in state only used the 2014 reg­is­ter as the newly regis­tered mem­bers were yet to be cap­tured in the data base of the party. The ex­er­cise was gen­er­ally peace­ful.
