Labour dis­rupts flight op­er­a­tions at lo­cal air­port

The Trade Union Con­gress (TUC) stormed the Mur­tala Mo­hammed In­ter­na­tional Air­port, La­gos and dis­rupted flight op­er­a­tions at Air Peace lead­ing into de­layed flights.

The amal­ga­mated Labour unions are call­ing on the fed­eral gov­ern­ment to agree on the im­ple­men­ta­tion of a new min­i­mum wage.

Some of the pas­sen­gers, es­pe­cially those trav­el­ling out of the coun­try, ex­pressed worry over the de­lay.

The Vice Pres­i­dent, Nige­ria Labour Con­gress (NLC), Mr Amechi Asug­wuni who led the group told news­men that the gov­ern­ment must feel the im­pact of the strike un­til it lis­ten to the yearn­ing and de­mands of Labour.
