Gov. Ortom, show your presence in Orokam

Weekly Trust - - Weekend Magazine -

As Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom strategizes to return to office for a second term, it is pertinent to note that the benefits of governance have largely eluded Benue South, especially as there doesn’t appear to be anyone speaking for them. Every government project where available is targeted at choice areas of the administration outside Benue South (Idomaland). This is more evident in the villages outside the ever popular Otukpo, known in ages as the Idoma capital. One is pushed to appeal to Governor Ortom to use his good offices to reach out to the hinterland of Idoma, and we at Orokam, Owukpa and Otukpa are waiting to see how Ortom will make his presence felt in our villages. Orokam really needs government presence, especially as a natural gateway from Eastern Nigeria, and has been seriously neglected in the citing of government projects. Governor Ortom, please come on over to Orokam and do something real. Ogbada Aba-Ilolo, Ipole-Igwu Orokam
