Oore­doo signs MoU with Pub­lic Author­ity for So­cial In­sur­ance

Re­flect­ing its role in sup­port­ing hu­man growth and sup­port­ing the de­vel­op­ment of the Omani so­ci­ety, Oore­doo has signed a mem­o­ran­dum of un­der­stand­ing with the Pub­lic Author­ity for So­cial In­sur­ance (PASI). Un­der the agree­ment, Oore­doo and the author­ity will col­lab­o­rate on var­i­ous projects, pub­lic-pri­vate part­ner­ships and also ex­change of knowl­edge through train­ing pro­grammes run by both Oore­doo and PASI.

Raed Da­wood, di­rec­tor of Gov­ern­ment Re­la­tions and Cor­po­rate Af­fairs, said, “This agree­ment reaf­firms our con­tin­u­ous col­lab­o­ra­tion with the pub­lic sec­tor as part of our ef­forts to serve the com­mu­nity as best we can. At Oore­doo, our fo­cus goes be­yond of­fer­ing state-of-the-art dig­i­tal ser­vices and in­no­va­tive tele­com so­lu­tions and ex­tends to sup­port­ing the de­vel­op­ment of the econ­omy and in­di­vid­u­als through part­ner­ships and train­ing ini­tia­tives.”

The MoU will in­clude field vis- its from both par­ties in or­der to share best prac­tices in rel­e­vant fields. Rep­re­sen­ta­tives from Oore­doo and PASI will at­tend work­shops, pre­sen­ta­tions and con­fer­ences held by the two par­ties. Fur­ther­more, the author­ity will co­or­di­nate with the sul­tanate’s busi­ness dig­i­tal part­ner to sup­port their aware­ness ac­tiv­i­ties and events across the coun­try.

As part of its long-term com­mit­ment to cham­pion so­ci­etal growth, Oore­doo con­tin­ues to adopt a strong CSR strat­egy to pro­vide sus­tain­able sup­port to the com­mu­ni­ties it serves.
