CAS Sohar students create special tint film
Students from the College of Applied Sciences Sohar have developed a special tint film for protection against UV rays.
“We tested some organic materials, processed them chemically and made a tint film for protection against harmful UV rays,” said Ali Amar al Yaziti, a student associated with the proj- ect. The tint film has been developed by the student company Scienica.
Twelve students pursuing different majors in the college were involved in developing this filter.
“We can use this tint film in car windshields, phones, windows and doors.
“We are showcasing our product to attract investors to this project. This will be available in different colours.”
