Crowne Plaza Resort Salalah holds campaign on road safety
As part of its corporate social responsibility, Crowne Plaza Resort Salalah organised a Traffic Awareness Campaign in the streets of Salalah on Thursday.
By the support and collaboration of the Royal Oman Police (ROP), the campaign saw participants prepare banners related to traffic and road safety.
General manager, Manuel Levonian, said, “The campaign is very timely as we are currently in khareef season and we expect the roads to be very busy. We aim to create awareness and inculcate responsible driving among the drivers and tourists to help prevent road accidents in the city.”
The awareness highlighted the dangers of speeding and the importance of seat belts and child’s restraints as well as the risks of using mobile phones and the importance of adhering to traffic rules and regulations. Drivers were also given brochures and pamphlets, which provide information on the road safety.
