His Majesty the Sul­tan is­sues seven Royal De­crees

Mus­cat - His Majesty Sul­tan Qa­boos bin Said on Tues­day is­sued seven Royal De­crees as fol­lows:

Royal De­cree 30/2017 ef­fects trans­fers and place­ments in the Diplo­matic Corps. Ar­ti­cle 1 trans­fers the two am­bas­sadors named be­low to the Di­wan of the Min­istry of For­eign Af­fairs: Sheikh Hu­maid bin Ali bin Sul­tan al Maani, Oman’s Am­bas­sador to France, and Hamid bin Said bin Salim al Ibrahim, Oman’s Am­bas­sador to Kuwait. Ar­ti­cle 2 ap­points Sheikh Dr Ghazi bin Said bin Ab­dul­lah al Ba­har al Rowas as Oman’s Am­bas­sador to France.

Ar­ti­cle 3 grants Dr Ad­nan bin Ahmed bin Ab­dul­lah al An­sari the ti­tle of Am­bas­sador and ap­points him as Oman’s Am­bas­sador to Kuwait, and grants Sheikh al Ab­bas bin Ibrahim bin Ha­mad al Harthy the ti­tle of Am­bas­sador and ap­points him as Oman’s Am­bas­sador to Malaysia. Ar­ti­cle 4 says that this De­cree shall be pub­lished in the of­fi­cial gazette and en­forced on its date of is­sue.

Royal De­cree 31/2017 ap­points a Sec­re­tary Gen­eral at the Of­fice of His Majesty the Sul­tan’s Ad­vi­sor.

Ar­ti­cle 1 ap­points Dr Saleh bin Salim bin Hamoud al Rahbi, as Sec­re­tary Gen­eral in the Of­fice of His Majesty the Sul­tan’s Ad­vi­sor, at the Spe­cial Grade.

Royal De­cree 32/2017 de­clares the pro­ject of set­ting up of Dike G2 in Wadi Adai, Gov­er­norate of Mus­cat, as a pub­lic util­ity pro­ject.

Ar­ti­cle 1 con­sid­ers the pro­ject of set­ting up of Dike G2 in Wadi Adai, Gov­er­norate of Mus­cat, as spec­i­fied in the memo and di­a­gram at­tached to this De­cree, as a pub­lic util­ity pro­ject.

Ar­ti­cle 2 stip­u­lates that the de­part­ments con­cerned may ex­pro­pri­ate, through di­rect im­ple­men­ta­tion, the prop­er­ties and lands nec­es­sary for the afore­men­tioned pro­ject, along with all the in­stal­la­tions therein, in ac­cor­dance with pro­vi­sions of the Pub­lic Util­ity Ex­pro­pri­a­tion Law pro­mul­gated by Royal De­cree 64/78.

Ar­ti­cle 3 says that this De­cree shall be pub­lished in the of­fi­cial gazette and en­forced on its date of is­sue.

Royal De­cree 33/2017 is­sues the GCC Com­mer­cial Trans­ac­tions Law af­ter it had been pre­sented be­fore the Coun­cil of Oman (Ma­jlis Oman). Ar­ti­cle 1 states that the pro­vi­sions of the GCC Com­mer­cial Trans­ac­tions Law (Sys­tem), at­tached to this De­cree, shall be ap­plied.

Ar­ti­cle 2 says that this De­cree shall be pub­lished in the of­fi­cial gazette.

Royal De­cree 34/2017 pro­mul­gates the Vet­eri­nar­ian Prod­ucts Law af­ter it had been pre­sented be­fore the Coun­cil of Oman (Ma­jlis Oman).

Ar­ti­cle 1 states that the pro­vi­sions of the law at­tached to this De­cree (Vet­eri­nar­ian Prod­ucts Law) shall ap­ply to vet­eri­nar­ian prod­ucts.

Ar­ti­cle 2 says that this De­cree shall be pub­lished in the of­fi­cial gazette. Royal De­cree 35/2017 rat­i­fies the amended pro­to­col of the Agree­ment on Trade-Re­lated As­pects of In­tel­lec­tual Prop­erty Rights (TRIPS) af­ter it had been pre­sented be­fore the Ma­jlis A’Shura.

Ar­ti­cle 1 rat­i­fies the afore­men­tioned pro­to­col in ac­cor­dance with the ver­sion at­tached to this De­cree.

Ar­ti­cle 2 in­structs the de­part­ments con­cerned to de­posit the above men­tioned pro­to­col’s rat­i­fi­ca­tion doc­u­ment in ac­cor­dance with the pro­to­col’s pro­vi­sions.

Ar­ti­cle 3 says that this De­cree shall be pub­lished in the of­fi­cial gazette and en­forced on its date of is­sue. Royal De­cree 36/2017 rat­i­fies the amended World Trade Or­ga­ni­za­tion’s Mar­rakech Agree­ment af­ter it had been pre­sented be­fore Ma­jlis A’Shura.

Ar­ti­cle 1 rat­i­fies the afore­men­tioned pro­to­col in ac­cor­dance with the ver­sion at­tached to this De­cree. Ar­ti­cle 2 in­structs the de­part- ments con­cerned to de­posit the above men­tioned pro­to­col’s rat­i­fi­ca­tion doc­u­ment in ac­cor­dance with the pro­to­col’s pro­vi­sions.
