Omani firm to ac­quire two cut­ting-edge drones for use in oil and gas sec­tor

Al Ghalbi In­ter­na­tional, an Omani en­gi­neer­ing and con­tract­ing firm will ac­quire two cut­ting-edge drones from France’s Xa­men Tech­nolo­gies for op­er­a­tions in the oil and gas sec­tor. Ac­cord­ing to a re­port by French news­pa­per, La République des Pyrénées, Xa­men Tech­nolo­gies CEO Philippe Barthomeuf will sign an agree­ment with Al Ghalbi CEO Sheikh Ali Su­leym al Ju­naibi in the Bordeaux re­gion of France on July 27.

The con­tract in­cludes the sale of two ATEX drones, ac­cord­ing to the re­port. Xa­men plans to drum up fur­ther busi­ness at the Abu Dhabi In­ter­na­tional Petroleum Ex­hi­bi­tion and Con­fer­ence in Novem­ber. Both firms were not avail­able for com­ments at the time of go­ing to the press.
