Nissan Altima owners praise its fuel efficiency in ‘Mileage Challenge’

Muscat Daily - - AUTO NEWS -

To create awareness about Altima’s remarkable fuel economy, Nissan Oman, from the house of Suhail Bahwan Automobiles (SBA), organised ‘Altima Mileage Challenge’ at Seeb, Barka, Sohar and Qurm recently. SBA has been organising ‘Altima Mileage Challenge’ across the sultanate as part of its CSR initiative over the last five months. The latest event saw enthusiastic participation from Nissan Altima owners in Seeb, Barka, Sohar and Qurm who drove on predesigned routes.

At Qurm, the winner was Ali Abdul Karim who managed 44.107km per litre. He was followed by Faisal Salem al Hadi (35.215km) and Salem al Humaidi (28.609km). Haittam al Mohammed al Farisi topped in Sohar with 43.87km while Abdul Mohammed Khamis came second with 36.26km.

In Barka, Khalid al Jabri was the winner with 36.25km while Ali al Fudaili (36.14km) and Ahmed Abdullah al Shukaili (35.1km) came second and third, respectively. Saud Saleh Hamood al Amri was declared the winner in Seeb with 21.36km. He was followed by Khasib Abdullah Mohammed al Hadhrami (20.21km) and Najim Said Sulaiman al Tamimi (20.09km). All the winners and participants acclaimed Nissan Altima for its performance and efficiency. Jabri, the winner in Barka, said, “Nissan Altima is a fuel efficient sedan which I use it when I go for long trips. I find the car very comfortable. A big thanks to the SBA team for conducting an event like this.”

Praising the fuel efficiency of Nissan Altima, the winner at Seeb, Amri, said, “It is an excellent vehicle to drive with family and gives good mileage. I like the design elements of the car too.” Fudaili said that he never thought Altima can provide this much mileage. Thanking SBA, he said, “I never used to check the mileage, thanks for letting us know the importance of getting good mileage.”

Shukaili said, “Altima is the best sedan model that I have used. It is exceptional and reliable. I am grateful for the very good support from SBA sales and service team.” All the participants appreciated the quality of service offered by SBA.

A senior official of SBA said, “Participants have been praising the superior dynamic performance and fuel efficiency of the new Nissan Altima during the mileage challenge which is being organised across Oman from the last few months. Nissan Altima is already attracting a wider audience in the sultanate with its contemporary good looks, eyecatching exterior colour range and spacious and fashionable in- terior in addition to a powerful high performance engine.”

Nissan Altima - Innovative technologies

The new Nissan Altima comes with a fresh new appearance including the ‘Energetic Flow’ exterior styling theme and ‘Gliding Wing’ interior layout, ‘Class Leading Fuel Economy’ and ‘Improved Driving Dynamics and Safety Technology’.

The front end of the Altima offers the most dramatic change with its energetic flow design, since all panels and pieces forward of the A-pillars are new: Fascia, bumper, fenders, hood and lights.

Two key elements are the re- designed V-Motion grille and boomerang-shaped headlights, similar to those found on the Maxima. The look is dramatically different from the previous Altima design, with a wide, deeply sculpted lower bumper, integrated fog lights (2.5SV and 2.5SL models) and prominent chrome-trimmed grille.

The rear of the new Altima is marked by a new sculpted bumper with a dark lower accent, a new trunk lid and lower, wider boomerang-shaped combination lights that help provide a more expressive, higher quality appearance when approaching the vehicle from behind. The fourpiece combination lights incorporate the tail and stop lights, turn lamps and backup lights.

Nissan committed to adding value, incorporated customer feedback and added comfort features such as the standard Zero Gravity front seats which have been reshaped.

The woven cloth seating and door panel materials feature a more open weave pattern, providing a premium look and feel throughout the Altima interior.
