In­for­ma­tion Tech­nol­ogy Au­thor­ity be­gins par­tic­i­pa­tion at Salalah Tourism Fes­ti­val

In coincidence with the sul­tanate's cel­e­bra­tion of the Re­nais­sance Day, In­for­ma­tion Tech­nol­ogy Au­thor­ity (ITA) started its par­tic­i­pa­tion at Salalah Tourism Fes­ti­val 2017 in its corner at the Mu­nic­i­pal­ity En­ter­tain­ment Cen­tre. Its par­tic­i­pa­tion will con­tinue till Au­gust 23.

Through its par­tic­i­pa­tion at the fes­ti­val, ITA seeks to achieve a num­ber of ob­jec­tives no­tably to en­cour­age the use of eGovern­ment Ser­vices and pro­mot­ing the ser­vices pro­vided by some gov­ern­ment en­ti­ties to var­i­ous sec­tors of the so­ci­ety in­clud­ing the Min­istry of Health, Min­istry of Com­merce and In­dus­try, Min­istry of Man­power and Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion. ITA also seeks to pro­mote some of its cen­tres and ini­tia­tives in­clud­ing the Na­tional Dig­i­tal Cer­ti­fi­ca­tion Cen­tre, Oman Na­tional CERT and the On­line Do­na­tions Por­tal.

ITA will also con­duct train­ing pro­grammes and work­shops on in­for­ma­tion tech­nol­ogy at sev­eral Omani women’s cen­tres.
