BankDhofar launches Mobile Wallet with high level security features
Muscat - As part of its endeavour to support the Central Bank of Oman’s (CBO) initiatives to add to the convenience of eBanking channels, BankDhofar has introduced its Mobile Wallet.
Mobile Wallet is a new, secure and easy way to transfer money to other wallet users just by registering the beneficiary’s mobile number via the bank’s mobile banking app.
In a press release, Abdul Hakeem al Ojaili, CEO of BankDhofar said: “We are delighted to be part of the CBO’s initiative of the mobile clearing system within our mobile banking application. This is a new system for money transfer between banks provid- ing a safe, secure and efficient payment infrastructure. This will save time and guarantee safe and fast payment between individuals and business customers as it reiterates BankDhofar’s commitment to excel and grow in all business areas. This initiative is a significant addition to our multi award-winning mobile banking application.”
Funds can be transferred via BankDhofar’s mobile banking app from a customer’s wallet to other customers’ wallets by using their mobile number. The cash transfer limit is from RO1 up to a maximum limit of RO500 per day for mobiles and devices using Android and iOS systems.
