GANATRA INTERNATIONAL: GROWING TOGETHER WITH ITS CLIENTS
Ganatra International (GI) was launched on July 19, 2010. Today it is led by Vishal Ganatra who studied international business from London. After his education got over, he came back to Oman to his family and joined the business.
The company started its operations as any other trading company by rendering services to outsource all kinds of products except ammunition and food and beverages. GI categorises itself as an outsourcing and distribution specialist.
Ganatra International’s business started with supplying building materials, steel and wood. It then gradually moved to highly technical spares and different products used in the oil and gas industry. Slowly and steadily as time passed, Ganatra International moved on to the path of outsourcing and distribution.
The company says that it gradually realized what kind of companies it would like to be associated with. GI currently works as distributor to many companies in Oman. From the very beginning, Ganatra International has been working with government entities from all sectors - oil and gas, education and even the defence sector.
Excerpts from an interview with Vishal Ganatra, MD, Ganatra International:
What are the products and services offered by the company?
Ganatra International represents some of the highest quality brands like Bahco, Scrub Daddy, FiberFix, The Paint Brush Cover, BELL (British Electric Lamps Limited) and many more. We look very deeply into the quality of the product that we are dealing or supplying to our clients and we offer the best prices for the products so as to have very happy customers. With the competitive market situation today and avail- ability of products easily, people do not consider quality and price for consumer satisfaction. We at Ganatra International take full responsibility to check the products thoroughly.
We deal in many different products like automotive tools and equipment, electrical and light fittings, material handling and lifting equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), home and personal electronics, metal working and testing equipment. Also in some cases, we provide installation and after sales services wherever it is necessary.
Which are the industries serviced by GI?
We service many sectors including oil and gas sector, education sector, Ministry of Defence etc.
As we have partner offices in the UK and the USA, we also render our outsourcing services to other general traders to help them outsource different products as per their requirements. We always have our doors open to every possible opportunity for outsourcing in different types of products. What is GI’s vision and mission? Being a company dealing in multiple products and representing many reputed brands in Oman, GI’s vision is to cater to all the requirements of any and all industries. Our vision is to outsource and supply products to our client at the best prices. Our focus is to provide quality products to our clients. We do not compromise on the quality of the product required by the end-users. We also provide an efficient service for our clients and help them by giving them all the details of all the products requested to source for them.
Our mission is client satisfaction. We make ourselves very accessible to the clients so they can get in touch with us at any given point. Our mission is to have “Happy Clients” We personally look into the quality of goods before it reaches the end-user.
How does GI differentiate itself from competitors?
GI can differentiate itself from other companies as an organization who is not only focusing on making profits for the company but also helping the country grow and progress. However, our efforts are on to make people aware of the different products we deal in. We provide good logistic services to all our clients. With the competition in the market currently, we are still able to deliver quantity, quality and we are time efficient with all our clients and their requirements. Our team is well trained for client servicing and has extensive knowledge in the products that we trade in.
What are the plans for the future?
Being an outsourcing company, every day we look forward to new opportunities to make the company grow and to offer the best possible services to our clients. We have come a long way

and need to thank our existing clients who helped us in becoming what we are today over the last six years. This journey has gone a long way and still have more to go. Like every company, we plan to introduce many different types of products that would help to grow us in future.
As the MD of the company, I am responsible for the quality of the products that we trade in. We look forward to introducing FMCG products to the market from various countries, which will eventually help in Oman’s growth.
