Gana­tra In­ter­na­tional (GI) was launched on July 19, 2010. To­day it is led by Vishal Gana­tra who stud­ied in­ter­na­tional busi­ness from Lon­don. After his ed­u­ca­tion got over, he came back to Oman to his fam­ily and joined the busi­ness.

The com­pany started its op­er­a­tions as any other trad­ing com­pany by ren­der­ing ser­vices to out­source all kinds of prod­ucts ex­cept am­mu­ni­tion and food and bev­er­ages. GI cat­e­gorises it­self as an out­sourc­ing and dis­tri­bu­tion spe­cial­ist.

Gana­tra In­ter­na­tional’s busi­ness started with sup­ply­ing build­ing ma­te­ri­als, steel and wood. It then grad­u­ally moved to highly tech­ni­cal spares and dif­fer­ent prod­ucts used in the oil and gas in­dus­try. Slowly and steadily as time passed, Gana­tra In­ter­na­tional moved on to the path of out­sourc­ing and dis­tri­bu­tion.

The com­pany says that it grad­u­ally re­al­ized what kind of com­pa­nies it would like to be as­so­ci­ated with. GI cur­rently works as dis­trib­u­tor to many com­pa­nies in Oman. From the very be­gin­ning, Gana­tra In­ter­na­tional has been work­ing with gov­ern­ment en­ti­ties from all sec­tors - oil and gas, ed­u­ca­tion and even the de­fence sec­tor.

What are the prod­ucts and ser­vices of­fered by the com­pany?

Gana­tra In­ter­na­tional rep­re­sents some of the high­est qual­ity brands like Bahco, Scrub Daddy, FiberFix, The Paint Brush Cover, BELL (Bri­tish Elec­tric Lamps Lim­ited) and many more. We look very deeply into the qual­ity of the prod­uct that we are deal­ing or sup­ply­ing to our clients and we of­fer the best prices for the prod­ucts so as to have very happy cus­tomers. With the com­pet­i­tive mar­ket sit­u­a­tion to­day and avail- abil­ity of prod­ucts eas­ily, peo­ple do not con­sider qual­ity and price for con­sumer sat­is­fac­tion. We at Gana­tra In­ter­na­tional take full re­spon­si­bil­ity to check the prod­ucts thor­oughly.

We deal in many dif­fer­ent prod­ucts like au­to­mo­tive tools and equip­ment, elec­tri­cal and light fit­tings, ma­te­rial han­dling and lift­ing equip­ment, per­sonal pro­tec­tive equip­ment (PPE), home and per­sonal elec­tron­ics, me­tal work­ing and test­ing equip­ment. Also in some cases, we pro­vide in­stal­la­tion and after sales ser­vices wher­ever it is nec­es­sary.

Which are the in­dus­tries ser­viced by GI?

We ser­vice many sec­tors in­clud­ing oil and gas sec­tor, ed­u­ca­tion sec­tor, Min­istry of De­fence etc.

As we have part­ner of­fices in the UK and the USA, we also ren­der our out­sourc­ing ser­vices to other gen­eral traders to help them out­source dif­fer­ent prod­ucts as per their re­quire­ments. We al­ways have our doors open to every pos­si­ble op­por­tu­nity for out­sourc­ing in dif­fer­ent types of prod­ucts. What is GI’s vi­sion and mis­sion? Be­ing a com­pany deal­ing in mul­ti­ple prod­ucts and rep­re­sent­ing many re­puted brands in Oman, GI’s vi­sion is to cater to all the re­quire­ments of any and all in­dus­tries. Our vi­sion is to out­source and sup­ply prod­ucts to our client at the best prices. Our fo­cus is to pro­vide qual­ity prod­ucts to our clients. We do not com­pro­mise on the qual­ity of the prod­uct re­quired by the end-users. We also pro­vide an ef­fi­cient ser­vice for our clients and help them by giv­ing them all the de­tails of all the prod­ucts re­quested to source for them.

Our mis­sion is client sat­is­fac­tion. We make our­selves very ac­ces­si­ble to the clients so they can get in touch with us at any given point. Our mis­sion is to have “Happy Clients” We per­son­ally look into the qual­ity of goods be­fore it reaches the end-user.

How does GI dif­fer­en­ti­ate it­self from com­peti­tors?

GI can dif­fer­en­ti­ate it­self from other com­pa­nies as an or­ga­ni­za­tion who is not only fo­cus­ing on mak­ing prof­its for the com­pany but also help­ing the coun­try grow and progress. How­ever, our ef­forts are on to make peo­ple aware of the dif­fer­ent prod­ucts we deal in. We pro­vide good lo­gis­tic ser­vices to all our clients. With the com­pe­ti­tion in the mar­ket cur­rently, we are still able to de­liver quan­tity, qual­ity and we are time ef­fi­cient with all our clients and their re­quire­ments. Our team is well trained for client ser­vic­ing and has ex­ten­sive knowl­edge in the prod­ucts that we trade in.

What are the plans for the fu­ture?

Be­ing an out­sourc­ing com­pany, every day we look for­ward to new op­por­tu­ni­ties to make the com­pany grow and to of­fer the best pos­si­ble ser­vices to our clients. We have come a long way

and need to thank our ex­ist­ing clients who helped us in be­com­ing what we are to­day over the last six years. This jour­ney has gone a long way and still have more to go. Like every com­pany, we plan to in­tro­duce many dif­fer­ent types of prod­ucts that would help to grow us in fu­ture.

As the MD of the com­pany, I am re­spon­si­ble for the qual­ity of the prod­ucts that we trade in. We look for­ward to in­tro­duc­ing FMCG prod­ucts to the mar­ket from var­i­ous coun­tries, which will even­tu­ally help in Oman’s growth.
