Topcon inaugurates state-of-art service centre
International Integrated Equipment (IIE) is the authorised distributor of Topcon Survey Equipment in Oman. Topcon has established itself as a global leader in positioning systems and GPS technologies through several innovations over the last 85 years. Topcon has a wide range of products such as automatic levels, theodolites, total stations, global positioning systems (GPS) and machine control and scanners.
In the sultanate, Topcon Survey products have been used in major projects like Muscat International Airport, Batinah Expressway, Cultural Centre in Nizwa, Housing Development Project in Nizwa and Seeb Sewage Network, to name a few.
IIE has established a modern service centre comprising latest collimators, diagnostic equipment and repair tools.
The service centre was inaugurated by Yoshiaki Kataoka, general manager, Topcon Dubai, in the presence of Hitham Mohamed, regional sales manager, Topcon Dubai, Atul Dhagat, COO, Bahwan International Group Holding, and Gunashekar R, business head, IIE.
“Topcon is happy to note the establishment of this state-ofthe-art service centre for calibration and repair of Topcon instruments. The 5-collimator system along with EDM calibration ensures optical and distance calibration in accordance with Japanese standards. Topcon customers are poised to enjoy high-quality services provided by this modern facility certified on Topcon Global Standards. This investment bears testimony to the commitment of IIE to provide world-class support for Topcon customers,” said Kataoka.

He added, “By employing Topcon supplied tools and processes for calibration and repairs, contractors, consultants and clients can be assured of project execution quality.”
Topcon Corporation was established in Tokyo, Japan in the year 1932 to manufacture surveying instruments, binoculars, cameras and optical sight for the Japanese Army.
There are 4,497 employees (as of March 31) world-wide spread across 17 manufacturing facilities and 28 Research and Development centers in Japan, the US, Europe, etc.
