NPA appoints Ian Pe­pler as me­dia sales di­rec­tor of ‘Wings of Oman’ mag­a­zine

Na­tional Pub­lish­ing and Ad­ver­tis­ing (NPA) re­cently ap­pointed Ian Pe­pler as the me­dia sales di­rec­tor of its flag­ship pub­li­ca­tion Wings of Oman mag­a­zine, ac­cord­ing to a press re­lease.

Wings of Oman, the bilin­gual in-flight travel and life­style mag­a­zine of Oman Air, is pro­duced and pre­sented ev­ery month in both Ara­bic and English by the cor­po­rate com­mu­ni­ca­tions and me­dia depart­ment of Oman Air, in as­so­ci­a­tion with NPA.

The mag­a­zine fea­tures an eclec­tic mix of life­style and travel-re­lated top­ics in­clud­ing full-length travel fea­tures and hu­man in­ter­est sto­ries on the in­ter­na­tional des­ti­na­tions that Oman Air flies to. It also fea­tures in-depth pro­files on the very best of what the sul­tanate has to of­fer the traveller, ad­ven­turer, and busi­ness tourist.

Pe­pler has worked in the me­dia sales in­dus­try for over 15 years in South Africa. He brings a wealth of ex­pe­ri­ence with him, work­ing pre­vi­ously with Car, South Africa’s big­gest men’s mag­a­zine and Get­away, South Africa’s old­est travel mag­a­zine.

Be­sides these, he has worked with over 30 other mag­a­zines which in­clude Prop­erty, Life­style, Cus­tom and Be­spoke Niche mag­a­zine ti­tles, such as Zim­bali Re­sort Life.

He has ex­ten­sive ex­pe­ri­ence and knowl­edge re­gard­ing ad­ver­tis­ing plat­forms, which in­clude out­door ad­ver­tis­ing, print and dig­i­tal ad­ver­tis­ing. His forte in­cludes me­dia in­no­va­tion and pro­vid­ing sup­port to the client’s busi­ness vi­sion by in­te­grat­ing the me­dia plan­ning process, closely with the strate­gic mar­ket process.

Pe­pler is pas­sion­ate about the clients he has worked with and re­la­tion­ships he has fos­tered with his clients over the years. He has bol­stered sev­eral me­dia cam­paigns for most of the pres­ti­gious brands.
