In­dian School Mus­cat is test­ing cen­tre for SAT

It is a mat­ter of great pride and joy to make stu­dents and par­ents aware that In­dian School Mus­cat (ISM) is a test­ing cen­tre for the Scholas­tic Ap­ti­tude Test (SAT) from 2017-18 on­wards.

It be­comes con­ve­nient for the stu­dents from the cap­i­tal area and its vicin­ity, as­pir­ing for ad­mis­sions at var­i­ous ed­u­ca­tional es­tab­lish­ments abroad, as its scores are con­sid­ered the thresh­old for ad­mis­sions all over. Hereafter, both SAT Rea­son­ing and Sub­ject Tests will be ad­min­is­tered at ISM. The cen­tre code of ISM for SAT is 52546. Those who wish to reg­is­ter for SAT may visit www.sat.org/in­ter­na­tional.

SAT is a stan­dard­ised test ad­min­is­tered by the Col­lege Board, Ed­u­ca­tional Test­ing Ser­vice and the manda­tory re­quire­ment for stu­dents seek­ing ad­mis­sions in un­der­grad­u­ate in­sti­tu­tions is to ob­tain com­fort­able scores in this test. The exam is de­vel­oped to eval­u­ate the writ­ten, ver­bal and math­e­mat­i­cal skills of can­di­dates. Sub­ject tests are of­fered in ar­eas like Lit­er­a­ture, His­tory, Math­e­mat­ics, Sci­ences and For­eign Lan­guages. Scores help stu­dents prove that they have got the skills and knowl­edge that US uni­ver­si­ties want.
