Saadi makes tame exit

Muscat Daily - - SPORTS -

Muscat - Mohammed al Saadi, Oman’s lone representative at the IAAF World Championships, made a tame exit after clocking 21.50 seconds to finish last in his first round heat of the 200m race in London, UK, on Monday.

Jamaican star Yohan Blake won the heat with ease in a time of 20.39s as the 18 semifinalists were spotted. Saadi took part in the worlds as a wildcard entry from the Oman Athletics Association (OAA). With star sprinter Barakat al Harthi unable to achieve the qualifying mark in 100m, the OAA decided to send Saadi for his maiden experience at the championships.
