Bank Sohar’s Monthly Draws conducted in Salalah
Bank Sohar’s popular Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme 2017 entered its fifth round of draws, announcing the winners for its various monthly savings categories during a gala dinner held at the Salalah Hilton Hotel recently for the bank’s retail clients as a gesture of appreciation for their loyalty and support. The Monthly Draws witnessed RO45,000 in cash prizes won by a total of 32 winners. These included a General Draw for RO10,000; Children’s Draw for RO1,000 and a Female Draw for RO5,000. Additionally, the dedicated Branch Draws, which saw one winner from each of the 29 branches win RO1,000 each, were conducted earlier at the bank’s Salalah branch.
Representing Bank Sohar and welcoming the invitees at the dinner where the draw was conducted were Rajeev Arora, DGM and head of Retail Banking; Khamis Masoud al Rahbi, Sr AGM of Retail Banking; Mazin Mahmood al Raisi, senior AGM - Marketing and Customer Experience; Amur Said al Amri, Sr chief branch manager of the Salalah branch, and other senior members of the bank.
Arora said, “On behalf of Bank Sohar, I would like to thank our valued customers for making this event a great success. Over the years, our efforts have resulted in considerable success as evinced by the diversity of superior market products that we offer such as the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme 2017. The scheme has been highly successful in encouraging thriftiness among our customers by rewarding them with an array of cash prizes. One of the most unique aspects of the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme is the volume of cash prizes that it awards customers across a wide range of categories. Since its launch, the scheme has continued to add consistent value to our portfolio of innovative products and services that cater to our customers’ financial requirements.”
The event integrated with a welcome note by Amri, followed by a speech by Raisi, highlighting the various milestones and achievements of the bank. The speech was followed by a short documentary video highlighting the bank’s milestones and achievements of the past ten years. This was followed by a brief overview by Redha al Lawati, Sr chief manager of Liabilities and Sales, on the Al Mu- mayaz Savings Scheme 2017 and an outline of each of the draws that were to be conducted. In addition, an audience raffle draw was held where some lucky attendees walked away with exciting prizes.
Elaborating further on the goals and objectives of the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme 2017, Rahbi said, “We would first like to congratulate the winners of the fifth monthly draw and hope that this will serve as greater motivation for them to continue to participate in the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme. The scheme reflects our commitment towards developing products that change and enrich lives.
“Since the inception of our scheme, it has been a great success with our customers. The number of lucky customers that have won with the bank’s 2017 edition of the scheme has already crossed the 700 mark till date and this number will continue to grow to over 1,350 by year-end owing to the sheer diversity of prizes that result from Hourly, Exclusive, Regional, Branch, Children, General and Female Draws.”
Following the presentation, the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme Monthly Draws were conducted starting off with the Children’s Draw which saw Ulla al Shukaili (minor) from the Al Khuwayr branch win RO1,000. The Female Draw followed, which saw Raghad al Dhuhli (minor) from the Ruwi branch win RO5,000. The final draw of the day was the General Draw which saw Mohammed al Amri from the Salalah branch win RO10,000.
The Monthly Branch draws witnessed a customer from each of the bank’s branches win RO1,000. This included Said al Balushi as the winner from Ibri branch, Nasser al Brashdi from Sinaw branch, Mridula Madhavan from MBD branch, Amer Saif from Seeb branch, Sura Mohammed al Yahyai from Barka branch, Ali al Balushi from Buraimi branch, Shaikh Irfan from Salalah branch, Mohammed al Alawi from Sur branch, Fahad al Hinai from Rustaq branch, Aya Sabri (minor) from Azaiba branch, Maadh al Maaini (minor) from Sohar branch, Raghad Jaafar Moosani (minor) from Qurm branch, Badar Juma al Farsi from Al Khuwayr branch, Masooma al Balushi from Al Khoudh branch, and many more.
