Fo­rum puts spotlight on women and en­trepreneur­ship in Arab world

Salalah - The sec­ond Arab Fe­male En­trepreneurs Fo­rum opened at the Salalah Rotana Ho­tel un­der the aus­pices of H E Sayyid Mo­hammed bin Sul­tan al Bu­saidi, Min­is­ter of State, Gover­nor of Dho­far on Tues­day.

The three-day fo­rum is be­ing or­gan­ised by the Pub­lic Author­ity for Small and Medium En­ter­prises Devel­op­ment (Riyada) un­der the theme, ‘To­wards Global En­trepreneur­ship’ as part of the ac­tiv­i­ties of Salalah Tourism Fes­ti­val 2017.

World Youth Busi­ness Club, busi­ness­women, en­trepreneurs, de­ci­sion-mak­ers, stake­hold­ers, and small and medium en­ter­prises from the sul­tanate, GCC and other Arab coun­tries, as well as par­tic­i­pants from Turkey, Malaysia, China and the UK are par­tic­i­pat­ing in the event.

The fo­rum aims to fa­mil­iarise the Arab busi­ness com­mu­nity with the im­por­tance of en­trepreneur­ship and in­no­va­tion and strengthen the par­tic­i­pa­tion of Arab and in­ter­na­tional in­sti­tu­tions con­cerned with sup­port­ing and de­vel­op­ing busi­ness­women.
