Bank So­har an­nounces win­ners of Re­nais­sance Day Face­book con­test

Bank So­har re­vealed the win­ners of its re­cently con­cluded Re­nais­sance Day Face­book con­test '# BS_ Cel­e­brates_ Re­nais­sance_Day' that was held as part of its cel­e­bra­tions in com­mem­o­ra­tion of the sul­tanate’s 47th Re­nais­sance Day. The com­pe­ti­tion wit­nessed a lot of in­ter­est and par­tic­i­pa­tions from the fol­low­ers of the bank’s of­fi­cial Face­book page (www.face­book.com/ex­cel.bank so­har), where the top five con­grat­u­la­tory mes­sages on the oc­ca­sion of Re­nais­sance Day each re­ceived a one-night’s stay at the Mil­len­nium Ho­tel. A prize dis­tri­bu­tion cer­e­mony was held at the bank’s head of­fice to award the win­ners where Mazin Mah­mood al Raisi, Sr AGM, head of Mar­ket­ing and Cus­tomer Ex­pe­ri­ence, dis­trib­uted the prize cer­tifi­cates to the five win­ners.

Raisi said, “We are pleased to con­clude yet an­other suc­cess­ful so­cial me­dia com­pe­ti­tion which has, once again, helped us touch base with our fol­low­ers and cus­tomers on a more in­ter­ac­tive level. Thanks to our grow­ing so­cial me­dia pres­ence, we were able to in­volve a sig­nif­i­cant num­ber of fol­low­ers in our cel­e­bra­tions of Oman’s 47th Re­nais­sance Day. On be­half of the man­age­ment and staff at Bank So­har, I would like to thank all the par­tic­i­pants and con­grat­u­late the win­ners and ap­plaud their tal­ent in cre­at­ing such unique mes­sages for the con­test.”

The bank’s pages on Twit­ter, Face­book and In­sta­gram have found a large au­di­ence, es­pe­cially among the country’s youth, which has helped us es­tab­lish a strong con­nec­tion with our fol­low­ers. The on­go­ing so­cial me­dia con­tests have been a ver­sa­tile tool for con­nect­ing with clients and grow­ing cus­tomer base chiefly be­cause they ap­peal to the larger In­ter­net savvy crowd. Since launch­ing into so­cial me­dia, Bank So­har has also been able to find a faster and a more ubiq­ui­tous chan­nel to un­der­stand cus­tomers’ fi­nan­cial re­quire­ments.

The com­pe­ti­tion in­vited en- tries for Re­nais­sance Day con­grat­u­la­tory mes­sages us­ing hash­tag #BS_Cel­e­brates_Re­nais­sance_Day. Par­tic­i­pants were al­lowed to post mul­ti­ple mes­sages, in­clud­ing re­lated im­ages or videos and were judged based on their cre­ativ­ity by a panel from the bank’s ex­ec­u­tive man­age­ment.

Bank So­har’s so­cial me­dia pres­ence has wit­nessed ex­po­nen­tial growth over the last few years, help­ing it build closer re­la­tion­ships with its cus­tomers.
