The first water park of the sultanate, coming up at a 35,000sq m area near Ittin Recreation Centre in Salalah, will open its doors in December this year.

“The project, implemented by a local investment company, is expected to open in December 2017,” the ministry stated.

The park located across the Iittin Recreation Centre, popu-

Along the eastern side of the park, a 330m long lazy river will run across making it a standout feature of the park. Located in the middle of the park, the wave pool would be spread over 3,246sq m. While the wave pool would be the biggest pool in the park, the spa pool, which lies in the north-west of the park, would be in an area of 1,240sq m.

The park would have a combination of slides, providing an option for different age groups.
