UAE to give visa-on-arrival to Indians with UK, EU residency
The UAE has approved a decision to grant visa-on-arrival to Indian passport holders with the UK or European Union residence visas.
The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting last week chaired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and the Ruler of Dubai.
The decision was also later tweeted by Sheikh Mohammed. “We have passed a regulation for Indian passport holders who hold residency in the UK and EU to receive visa-on-arrival.”
Earlier this year, the UAE cabinet had approved a similar decision for Indian passport holders with either a US visa or green card. The decision comes within the framework of the long-term strategic partnership in political and economic areas between the UAE and India.
It also aims to promote UAE as a global tourist and economic hub.
