Raad Khalifa al Abri, 31, an alumnus of the Sultan Qaboos University has launched a travel portal (www.godoba.com) driven by the concept of Trip by Click. The website’s USP is its creativity and innovation allowing visitors to select their holiday destinations in an easy way.

Abri is currently pursuing Master’s of Business Administration programme at the Staffordshire University, UK.

Abri said that the portal is the first-of-its-kind in providing integrated services. “Godoba.com was just an idea but we decided

to give it a shape. We spent ten months working on the idea and finally gave it a business perspective.”

The firm was set up in 2016 but opened the office in Dubai in January this year. “It’s a 100 per cent private company. We have 52 employees including three Omanis. Our employees are skilled and experienced.”

Abri said that travellers can avail some of the best holiday packages on the portal. “We have contracts with around 450 companies around the world including some big ones from the GCC.”

When asked about hiring Omanis, Abri said he has no qualms in hiring his countrymen. “Omanis are creative and talented and they are welcome to apply for all positions.”
