Pak­istan Em­bassy cel­e­brates Na­tional Day of Oman

H E Ali Javed, Pak­istan’s Am­bas­sador to Oman hosted a re­cep­tion aboard Pak­istan Navy Ship Tariq ( PNS Tariq) at Port Sul­tan Qa­boos to mark Oman’s 47th Na­tional Day.

Sheikh Hi­lal Marhoon Salim al Maa­mari, chief of West Asia Depart­ment, Oman’s Min­istry of For­eign Af­fairs and Brig Ab­dul­lah Nasser Hamed al Salmi, Mil­i­tary Wel­fare Ser­vices of­fi­cer COSSAF graced the oc­ca­sion. Of­fi­cers from the Sul­tan’s Armed Forces and Diplo­matic Corps also at­tended the event to mark the day.

Of­fi­cials from sev­eral pub­lic and pri­vate com­pa­nies also par- tic­i­pated in the event.

H E Javed also high­lighted the bonds of com­mon his­tory and ge­og­ra­phy be­tween the sul­tanate and Pak­istan.

Prais­ing the five decades of wis­dom and lead­er­ship of His Majesty Sul­tan Qa­boos bin Said as a bea­con of peace and friend­ship in the re­gion, he thanked Omani na­tion for host­ing 272,000 Pak­ista­nis with gen­er­ous hospi­tal­ity.

Pak­istan and Oman are strate­gic mar­itime neigh­bours. Both na­tions co­op­er­ate in mar­itime se­cu­rity and have es­tab­lished mech­a­nisms in fields of pol­i­tics, de­fence, busi­ness, trade and eco­nomic co­op­er­a­tion and also co­or­di­nate po­si­tions at mul­ti­lat­eral fo­rums.
