Royal Horse Racing Club hosts meet
Horse racing in Oman has developed thanks to the vision of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, said Nasr bin Hamoud al Kindi, secretary general of Royal Court Affairs, during a meeting with horse owners and trainers from various governorates of the sultanate.
The meeting was held prior to the launch of the horse racing season organised by Royal Horse Racing Club of the Royal Court Affairs. The secretary general of Royal Court Affairs said that the 2018-19 season will include 20 horse race days. The first one will be organised on October 18 at Al Rahba Racecourse in Barka.
Kindi spoke about horse racing and its developments in the sultanate with the efforts exerted by Royal Court Affairs.
He also praised the cooperation of horse owners and trainers with Royal Horse Racing Club.
The meeting was attended by Brig Gen Abdulrazak Abdulqader Alshahwarzi, commander of Royal Cavalry, and officials of Royal Horse Racing Club.
