Royal Horse Rac­ing Club hosts meet

Horse rac­ing in Oman has devel­oped thanks to the vi­sion of His Majesty Sul­tan Qa­boos bin Said, said Nasr bin Hamoud al Kindi, sec­re­tary gen­eral of Royal Court Af­fairs, dur­ing a meet­ing with horse own­ers and train­ers from var­i­ous gover­norates of the sul­tanate.

The meet­ing was held prior to the launch of the horse rac­ing sea­son or­gan­ised by Royal Horse Rac­ing Club of the Royal Court Af­fairs. The sec­re­tary gen­eral of Royal Court Af­fairs said that the 2018-19 sea­son will in­clude 20 horse race days. The first one will be or­gan­ised on Oc­to­ber 18 at Al Rahba Race­course in Barka.

Kindi spoke about horse rac­ing and its de­vel­op­ments in the sul­tanate with the ef­forts ex­erted by Royal Court Af­fairs.

He also praised the co­op­er­a­tion of horse own­ers and train­ers with Royal Horse Rac­ing Club.

The meet­ing was at­tended by Brig Gen Ab­dul­razak Ab­dulqader Al­shah­warzi, com­man­der of Royal Cavalry, and of­fi­cials of Royal Horse Rac­ing Club.
