Bank Muscat, AIG launch phone payment for motor insurance renewal

-

MUSCAT: Bank Muscat, the flagship financial services provider in the Sultanate, in partnership with leading global insurance company American International Group (AIG), has launched a first of its kind phone payment service in Oman for renewal of motor insurance policies.

Enhancing convenience and ensuring a secure payment method to Bank Muscat customers, the phone payment facility is currently available for renewal of motor insurance policies only. Customers seeking to make any changes to the existing motor insurance policies are required to visit the nearest Bank Muscat branch and contact AIG sales adviser to complete the documentation.

Customers, whose auto insurance policies are due for renewal, will be contacted by AIG telesales agents. On receiving the phone call, customers are required to answer a set of verification questions, following which they will be directed to a secure, integrated voice recording (IVR) payment system to input their credit or debit card details. The payment will be transmitted directly through Bank Muscat’s secure payment gateway.

Abdullah Tamman al Mashani (pictured), DGM — Institutional Sales and Product Development, said: “As the flagship bank in Oman, we are very pleased to further enhance the value that we offer to our customers through the dynamic partnership channel with AIG. The new phone payment service for renewal of motor insurance policy significantly enhances customer convenience. The bancassurance partnership with AIG serves as an excellent opportunity to provide superior experience to customers, with a focus to help them meet their evolving insurance needs over the long-term.”
