Academic Excellence Award winners felicitated

MUSCAT: Indian School Al Seeb recently celebrated the Merit Award Ceremony to honour meritorious students who made their parents and teachers proud by achieving academic excellence. The Chief Guest of the programme was C M Najeeb, Vice-Chairman, Board of Directors, Indian Schools, Oman. The Guest of Honour for the function was Asawari Nitin Deoras, Director-incharge, Seeb School, Board of Directors. The other eminent guests were Ravi Jayanthi, President, Indian School Al Seeb Management Committee, Rajeev Kumar Chauhan, Principal, Indian School Muscat, Vice-Principals and other esteemed members of the SMC.

Nagesh Kelkar, School Principal, informed the parents about the school’s current feats and achievements in a nut shell through a power point presentation. He assured the gathering on behalf of his staff that they were all well aware of the latest changes made by CBSE and were well equipped in handling all the corresponding developments in the system.

Asawari Deoras congratulated the School Management Committee. She asked the children to believe in themselves and have determination, commitment and truthfulness to succeed. The Chief Guest engaged with the audience in the most lively and powerful way, inspiring the children through examples and songs. He urged children to celebrate life and take the certificate of life’s experience. He strongly appealed that education imparted should be strictly value oriented.

The meritorious students of middle and senior sections were felicitated by the distinguished guests and they were appreciated for their hard work and perseverance.

The vote of thanks was presented by the Boys’ Dean, Mishal Mussadique. The MCs of the ceremony were Amulya, Alphons and Joel. The whole programme was truly a momentous occasion on a unique scale.
