World Sight Day ob­served

MUS­CAT: In line with the World Sight Day (WSD) cel­e­bra­tions, held on the sec­ond Thurs­day of Oc­to­ber every year, Al Nahdha Hos­pi­tal rep­re­sented by the Oph­thal­mol­ogy Depart­ment or­gan­ised an aware­ness event un­der the theme “Con­sider Your Eyes’ Health”.

The aware­ness ex­hi­bi­tion was held at the hos­pi­tal’s main en­trance un­der the aus­pices of Sayyid Dr Sul­tan Y’arub al Bu­saidi, Min­istry of Health Ad­viser for Health Af­fairs. Var­i­ous au­thor­i­ties took part in the event in­clud­ing Al Noor As­so­ci­a­tion for the Blind, Oman Team and Phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal Com­pa­nies.

The ex­hi­bi­tion com­prised of sev­eral ac­tiv­i­ties such as sight check-ups cor­ner and eye pres­sure mea­sure­ment, in ad­di­tion to ed­u­ca­tional and aware­ness ma­te­ri­als on eye health and safety.
