Al Nahdha Vil­lage in Duqm to open on Wed­nes­day

MUSCAT: Al Nahdha Vil­lage project in the Spe­cial Eco­nomic Zone of Duqm will be opened on Wed­nes­day at a cost of RO 75 mil­lion over 200,000 sq mts area. It will pro­vide ac­com­mo­da­tion ser­vices of all types to work­ers in ac­cor­dance with the stan­dards re­quired by the Min­istry of Man­power and within the stan­dards and re­quire­ments of the In­ter­na­tional La­bor Or­ga­ni­za­tion.

The open­ing cer­e­mony of the vil­lage will be held un­der the aus­pices of Sayyid Fatik bin Fahr al Said.

The open­ing of Al Nahdha Vil­lage in Duqm comes in line with the Sul­tanate’s cel­e­bra­tions of the 47th Glo­ri­ous Na­tional Day. The vil­lage can ac­com­mo­date up to 16,000 peo­ple. It is a hous­ing project for work­ers in com­pa­nies op­er­at­ing in the Spe­cial Eco­nomic Zone of Duqm.

The Vil­lage con­tains ser­vices cen­tre which in­cludes a num­ber of fa­cil­i­ties, such as restau­rants, bak­ery, busi­ness cen­tre, clinic, laun­dry shop, fit­ness cen­tre, busi­ness clear­ance of­fice, main­te­nance cen­tre, play­ground and ser­vices halls and pro­vides trans­porta­tion to and from the premises. — ONA
