Wasel Exchange opens branch in Mawaleh

MUSCAT: Wasel Exchange, Oman’s youngest money exchange company, has opened a branch in Al Mawaleh recently.

Said Ahmed Safrar, chairman of Wasel Exchange inaugurate­d the branch in the presence of K. P. Sasidharan, general manager, exchange officials, several other dignitarie­s and customers, says a press release.

Speaking on the occasion, Said Ahmed Safrar, chairman of Wasel Exchange said: ‘‘ Opening of the seventh branch is part of our ongoing expansion plan to establish a strong network of branches across the country. We are committed to providing our customers with the best rates and services at all times.

“As far as the selection of branch locations is concerned, within a short span of less than two years, we have already achieved a unique position in the market. As we are very specific about easy access to customers, we strive to find convenient locations, and all our branches are convenient­ly located. The Mawaleh branch is located behind the fruits and vegetable market.”

In line with the expansion plan, Wasel Exchange will soon open two more branches and more branches before the end of the current year.

Sasidharan said: ‘‘The Mawaleh branch will work in two shifts throughout the week, and will offer Western Union, Express money, Trans Fast and Instant cash services for the cash-to-cash segment. Moreover, we have arrangemen­ts with State Bank of Travancore, Punjab National Bank and Federal Bank in India, and other prominent banks in Bangladesh and Pakistan.
