Oman Air wins award in Athens

Oman Air was named ‘Best Air­line in Europe, Mid­dle East and Africa’ at the Seven Stars Lux­ury Lifestyle and Hos­pi­tal­ity Awards

MUSCAT: Oman Air, the na­tional car­rier of the Sul­tanate of Oman, was named “Best Air­line in Europe, Mid­dle East and Africa” at the Seven Stars Lux­ury Lifestyle and Hos­pi­tal­ity Awards 2017, for the sec­ond year in a row.

The award was given at a cer­e­mony on Septem­ber 23 at “The Ecali Club” in Athens, and was at­tended by se­nior man­age­ment from the global travel in­dus­try. Oman Air was rep­re­sented by Ro­gier De Jager, Re­gional Vice Pres­i­dent — Europe.

For 2017, the nom­i­nees in the Europe, Mid­dle East and Africa cat­e­gory were Emi­rates, Eti­had Air­ways, Qatar Air­ways, Gulf Air, Sau­dia, Oman Air, South African Air­ways, Swiss Air and Turk­ish Air­lines.

Paul Gre­gorow­itsch, Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Of­fi­cer of Oman Air, said, “Win­ning this prestigious award for the sec­ond time in a row is a sig­nif­i­cant recog­ni­tion of the out­stand­ing prod­uct, ser­vice and Omani hos­pi­tal­ity that Oman Air is of­fer­ing its guests. We are very proud to re­ceive again the Signum Vir­tutis as Best Air­line in Europe, Mid­dle East and Africa. Oman Air is a suc­cess­ful, sus­tain­able com­pany of the high­est qual­ity and is seen to be set­ting stan­dards when it comes to prod­uct and on board ex­pe­ri­ence.”

The award was given at a cer­e­mony on Septem­ber 23 at ‘The Ecali Club’ in Athens.
