MRI unit launched

MUSCAT: A mag­netic res­o­nance imag­ing (MRI) unit was launched at the Khoula Hospi­tal on Tues­day by the Min­istry of Health.

The event took place un­der the aus­pices of Dr. Mo­hammed bin Saif Al Hosni, Un­der­sec­re­tary, Min­istry of Health for Health Af­fairs in the pres­ence of Abdul Amir bin Abdul Hu­sain Al Ajmi, Di­rec­tor of Ex­ter­nal Af­fairs and Value Cre­ation at Petroleum De­vel­op­ment Oman (PDO). The project, gen­er­ously sup­plied by PDO, started to func­tion­ing six months ago.

The unit em­ploys the most so­phis­ti­cated tech­nol­ogy; the (1.5 Tesla) Ma­chine, which is con­sid­ered state-of-the-art in med­i­cal imag­ing.

Dr. Ali bin Muhad Al Ma’ashani, Di­rec­tor Gen­eral of Khoula Hospi­tal af­firmed the shared pur­pose of co­op­er­a­tion and part­ner­ship be­tween the gov­ern­ment and pri­vate sec­tors to pro­mote all as­pects of ser­vices in the Sul­tanate.
