Kal­ab­ha­van set to or­gan­ise 'Vid­yaramb­ham' on Sept. 30

MUSCAT: Kal­ab­ha­van School of Mu­sic & Arts, the fran­chisee of Kochin Kal­ab­ha­van in the South In­dian state of Ker­ala, will be con­duct­ing Vid­yaramb­ham cer­e­mony on Satur­day, Septem­ber 30 from 8.30am to 10am.

As a spe­cial ges­ture, the in­sti­tu­tion will be waiv­ing the reg­is­tra­tion fee from those tak­ing ad­mis­sion for any art, mu­sic, yoga or karate course on the day.

Vid­yaramb­ham is a Hindu tra­di­tion ob­served on Vi­jayadasami day mainly in South In­dia un­der dif­fer­ent names and with re­gional vari­a­tions. It com­mem­o­rates the vic­tory of good over evil. It is also known as Dusserah.

Ev­ery year, the in­sti­tute is or­gan­is­ing Vid­yaramb­ham in a tra­di­tional man­ner. It is an op­por­tu­nity that we pro­vide for those who as­pire to learn art and mu­sic. Usu­ally, a good num­ber of stu­dents en­rol for dif­fer­ent cour­ses on the day.

Kal­ab­ha­van has three branches in Oman. The in­sti­tu­tion pro­vides train­ing in vo­cal car­natic mu­sic, In­dian clas­si­cal dance, cin­e­matic dance, ta­bala, mri­dan­gam, Congo, drums, elec­tronic key­board, gui­tar, drawing, karate and yoga.
