Kalabhavan set to organise 'Vidyarambham' on Sept. 30
MUSCAT: Kalabhavan School of Music & Arts, the franchisee of Kochin Kalabhavan in the South Indian state of Kerala, will be conducting Vidyarambham ceremony on Saturday, September 30 from 8.30am to 10am.
As a special gesture, the institution will be waiving the registration fee from those taking admission for any art, music, yoga or karate course on the day.
Vidyarambham is a Hindu tradition observed on Vijayadasami day mainly in South India under different names and with regional variations. It commemorates the victory of good over evil. It is also known as Dusserah.
Every year, the institute is organising Vidyarambham in a traditional manner. It is an opportunity that we provide for those who aspire to learn art and music. Usually, a good number of students enrol for different courses on the day.
Kalabhavan has three branches in Oman. The institution provides training in vocal carnatic music, Indian classical dance, cinematic dance, tabala, mridangam, Congo, drums, electronic keyboard, guitar, drawing, karate and yoga. Those interested to register for Vidyarambham can contact its branches.
