approached each dress with a different perspective and taking into account the demand of her customers. “In my designs for this fashion show, I focused more on what the customers want, long dresses, and sleeves. The collections are launched every month because the target market is focused,” Hazar added.

The colours are not necessarily based on trends in the world, but in fact more on the customers’ preferences. Hazar became a fashion designer in 2009. Before that she owned an online business, multi-brand concept store. She started as a source for different designs, different products. Her store is located in Madinat Qaboos called Boutique Muscat.

Her priorities in her designs are to be comfortable and have good quality. “I mainly go with my own thing,” she said about her designs, adding “later on people actually like my designs, that’s why we have a good customer base.”

“I participated because it’s for a good cause and it was fun working with Hazar,” one of the models added. The programme lasted for approximately an hour-and-a-half. Hazar is looking to grow Boutique Muscat as a concept store and to take the collections and designs internationally. “We know we can reach a larger client base because our designs are casual, chic, and wearable.”
