‘Costli­est’ Malyalam movie com­ing to Oman

MUS­CAT: Malayalam su­per­star Nivin Pauly’s am­bi­tious biopic on the fa­mous “Robin­hood of Ker­ala” dur­ing the 19th cen­tury —Kayamku­lam Kochunni — is all set to re­lease across the­atres in Oman on Thurs­day.

The movie, touted to be the most ex­pen­sive project in the Malayalam film in­dus­try — shot on a bud­get of INR45 crore, will be re­leased world­wide on Oc­to­ber 11.

Nivin’s pow­er­ful role as Kochunni and ac­tor Mo­han­lal’s cameo as ‘Ithikara­pakki’ is ex­pected to set the the­atres on fire.

Big open­ing ex­pected

Nivin, who has cre­ated a niche for him­self with some of the finest per­for­mances over the years, is an­tic­i­pat­ing a big open­ing for the film that has been shot in some parts of South­ern In­dia and Sri Lanka.

Di­rected by Rosshan An­drews and pro­duced by Goku­lam Gopalan, the film also stars Priya Anand, Babu Antony and Sunny Wayne in piv­otal roles. Phars Films will dis­trib­ute the films across GCC. In Oman, the movie will re­lease across VOX Cin­e­mas and Star Cin­ema in Ruwi.
