Anti Cor­rup­tion warns pub­lic against fake Co­op­er­a­tive Hous­ing So­ci­eties

Cases of cor­rup­tion of funds in Karachi Univer­sity, SALU Khair­pur and SMBBMU Larkana also came un­der dis­cus­sion

KARACHI: Chair­man En­quiries and Anti Cor­rup­tion Es­tab­lish­ment Sindh Ala­mud­din Bullo presided over an im­por­tant meet­ing of the East Zone of Karachi Anti Cor­rup­tion Es­tab­lish­ment on Thurs­day 14th Septem­ber, 2017.

The Chair­man ACE stated that the Anti Cor­rup­tion re­ceived var­i­ous com­plaints against fake Co­op­er­a­tive Hous­ing So­ci­eties in all over the prov­ince and par­tic­u­larly in the east zone (Karachi) of the es­tab­lish­ment. The Chair­man ACE fur­ther stated that the gen­eral pub­lic at large is be­ing mis­guided by the mafia of fake Co­op­er­a­tive Hous­ing So­ci­eties by show­ing them fake doc­u­ments of lease. The Chair­man di­rected the of­fi­cer con­cerned to re­lease pub­lic no­tices to the af­fectees of th­ese fake Co­op­er­a­tive Hous­ing So­ci­eties. “Var­i­ous fake Co­op­er­a­tive Hous­ing So­ci­eties are work­ing in Karachi and peo­ple should ver­ify their pa­pers be­fore mak­ing any agree­ment with the builders/deal­ers of Co­op­er­a­tive Hous­ing So­ci­eties.” added Ala­mud­din Bullo. The Chair­man fur­ther stated that an aware­ness cam­paign through me­dia will also be launched in or­der to cre­ate aware­ness among the masses re­gard­ing Co­op­er­a­tive Hous­ing So­ci­eties.

The meet­ing was also in­formed about the var­i­ous cases of cor­rup­tion/mis­ap­pro­pri­a­tion of funds in dif­fer­ent uni­ver­si­ties of Sindh in­clud­ing Karachi Univer­sity, Shah Ab­dul Latif Univer­sity Khair­pur and Sha­heed Mo­htarma Benazir Bhutto Med­i­cal Univer­sity Larkana. The Chair­man Anti Cor­rup­tion Ala­mud­din Bullo stated that strict ac­tion will be taken against of­fi­cers in­volved in cor­rup­tion in the uni­ver­si­ties.

Di­rec­tor Anti Cor­rup­tion Es­tab­lish­ment Us­man Ghani Sid­dique briefed the meet­ing about re­cent raids and FIRs lodged by the Anti Cor­rup­tion. The Di­rec­tor in his brief­ing stated that ACE East is con­duct­ing an en­quiry against the cor­rup­tion in vac­ci­na­tion of An­i­mals brought from dif­fer­ent ar­eas of the coun­try to Karachi “Maweshi Mandi” for Eid-ul-Uzha. “Ru­pees 300 for each an­i­mals were col­lected from the own­ers but sac­ri­fi­cial an­i­mals were not vac­ci­nated” added the di­rec­tor. The Chair­man Anti Cor­rup­tion stated that this is very se­ri­ous mat­ter and we will not al­low any­one to play with the health of peo­ple. He di­rected the au­thor­i­ties con­cerned to sub­mit a de­tailed re­port in this re­gard within a week. The Chair­man fur­ther stated that show-cause no­tices will be is­sued to the In­ves­ti­ga­tion Of­fi­cers who failed to com­plete their in­ves­ti­ga­tion within the time and no ex­tra time will be pro­vided for any en­quiry. The meet­ing also de­cided to take ac­tion against the ap­pli­cant (un­der the sec­tion 182) who mis­guides the Anti Cor­rup­tion by pro­vid­ing fake ev­i­dences/ap­pli­ca­tion.

The meet­ing was at­tended by the Spe­cial Sec­re­tary ACE Khalid Chachar, Di­rec­tor Es­tab­lish­ment Us­man Ghani Sid­dique, Di­rec­tor En­quiries Faisal Bashir Me­mon, Di­rec­tor En­quiries Zubair Parvez, Deputy Sec­re­tary, Dr. Man­soor Ali Was­san, Di­rec­tor Le­gal Ab­dul Han­nan Shaikh, Deputy Di­rec­tor East Tariq Qureshi, Deputy Di­rec­tor Head Quar­ters Zameer Ali Ab­basi, As­sis­tant Di­rec­tor Naveed Junejo, As­sis­tant Di­rec­tor Raza Muham­mad Pathan, In­spec­tor Im­tiaz Ali Channa and other of­fi­cers of En­quiries & Anti Cor­rup­tion Es­tab­lish­ment Sindh.
