Min­is­ter warns against il­le­gal raise in school fees

KARACHI: Sindh min­is­ter for ed­u­ca­tion & lit­er­acy Jam Me­htab Hussain Da­har on Thurs­day warned the owner of ed­u­ca­tional in­sti­tu­tions who have raised fees il­le­gally that they will not only have to face fi­nan­cial fine but they will also have to go be­hind the bars if not mend their ways.

While pre­sid­ing over a meet­ing at his of­fice here, Da­har ex­pressed his re­sent­ment over il­le­gal in­crease in fees, say­ing that cer­tain num­ber of ed­u­ca­tional in­sti­tu­tions were vi­o­lat­ing the court or­ders and caus­ing trou­ble for the par­ents and the stu­dents as well. The di­rec­tor gen­eral pri­vate in­sti­tu­tions Man­soob Ahmed Sid­diqui, regis­trar Rafia Mal­lah and as­sis­tant di­rec­tor Akhlaq Ahmed have also at­tended the meet­ing.

Da­har di­rected the DG Pri­vate In­sti­tu­tions to is­sue show cause no­tices to the in­sti­tu­tions that are vi­o­lat­ing the rules and reg­u­la­tions and make mon­i­tor­ing teams more ef­fec­tive to take im­me­di­ate ac­tion against the vi­o­la­tors.
