SC ad­journs Je­hangir Ta­reen dis­qual­i­fi­ca­tion case hear­ing till Tues­day next

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has ad­journed hear­ing of the dis­qual­i­fi­ca­tion case against PTI leader Je­hangir Ta­reen till Tues­day next.

De­fen­dant's coun­sel Sikan­dar Bashir con­tin­ued his ar­gu­ments be­fore a three mem­ber bench of the apex court headed by Chief Jus­tice Mr. Jus­tice Saqib Nisar. Coun­sel for the pe­ti­tioner Akram Sheikh ob­jected to the land lease agree­ments sub­mit­ted by Ta­reen and pointed out that th­ese are not reg­is­tered.

A three-mem­ber apex bench - headed by Chief Jus­tice Saqib Nisar and com­pris­ing Jus­tice Umar Atta Ban­dial and Jus­tice Faisal Arab was hear­ing a pe­ti­tion filed by PML-N leader Hanif Ab­basi which seeks the dis­qual­i­fi­ca­tion of Ta­reen and PTI Chief Im­ran Khan over the al­leged non-dis­clo­sure of as­sets, ex­is­tence of off­shore com­pa­nies, as well as re­ceiv­ing for­eign fund­ing for PTI.
