Rangers nab eight accused including lyari gang war member
KARACHI: Sindh Rangers on Thursday claimed to have apprehended eight accused, including a Lyari gang war member, during a crackdown in the metropolis.
According to Rangers' spokesperson, a Rangers team carried out a targeted raid in Saudabad area and detained a Lyari gang war activist, Mirchakar. The accused was allegedly involved in dealing illegal weapons in the city.
Separately, a Rangers’ party conducted search operations in Sohrab Goth and Saudabad areas and arrested seven suspects, Muhammad Hamid Batti, Maqsoood Hussain Khan, Kashif Babar, Muhammad Adil, Ali Akbar, Abdul Wahid and a robber, Nazar Abbas.
The Rangers also claimed to have recovered weapons, contraband and drugs from their possession.
They would be handed over to police for further investigation, said Rangers.
