Pak­istan's first ever Women Re­source Cen­tre be­ing es­tab­lished

ISLAMABAD: Pak­istan's first ever Women Re­source Cen­tre is be­ing es­tab­lished at Na­tional Li­brary in Islamabad to in­cul­cate the habit of read­ing among women folk.

An agree­ment to this ef­fect was signed in Islamabad on Thurs­day between the Na­tional Com­mis­sion for Sta­tus of Women and Na­tional Li­brary.

Speak­ing on the oc­ca­sion, Ad­vi­sor to Prime Min­is­ter on Na­tional His­tory and Lit­er­ary Her­itage Irfan Sid­diqui said equip­ping women with ed­u­ca­tion and keep­ing them abreast of mod­ern so­cial is­sues is a key to progress, pros­per­ity and re­for­ma­tion of the so­ci­ety.

ISLAMABAD: Irfan Sid­diqui, Ad­vi­sor to PM on Na­tional His­tory and Lit­er­ary Her­itage and Khawar Mum­taz, Chair­per­son Na­tional Com­mis­sion on the Sta­tus of Women (NCSW) wit­ness­ing sign­ing of agree­ment to es­tab­lish first ever Women Re­source Cen­ter at Na­tional Li­brary Of Pak­istan (NLP) in Na­tional His­tory and Lit­er­ary Her­itage Di­vi­sion. Syed Ghy­our Has­sain, Di­rec­tor, NLP and Sule­man Shah, Di­rec­tor NCSW signed the agree­ment on be­half of their re­spec­tive or­ga­ni­za­tions. En­gi­neer Aamir Hasan, Fed­eral Sec­re­tary NHLH Di­vi­sion and Sec­re­tary NCSW Sam­ina Hasan were also present on the oc­ca­sion.
