Se­na­tor Farhat­ul­lah re­signed

IS­LAM­ABAD: Pak­istan Peo­ple’s Party leader and Se­na­tor Farhat­ul­lah Babar re­signed from a par­lia­men­tary com­mit­tee on ac­count­abil­ity laws.

Ac­cord­ing to me­dia re­ports, Farhat­ul­lah Babar had ad­vised that all the judges and gen­er­als should also be held ac­count­able. How­ever, his ad­vice was dis­missed by the other mem­bers of the par­lia­ment. As a re­sult, he handed over his res­ig­na­tion from the par­lia­men­tary com­mit­tee. A copy of the res­ig­na­tion was also shared with all the mem­bers of the par­lia­men­tary com­mit­tee dur­ing a ses­sion on Thurs­day.

While speak­ing to the me­dia, Babar re­fused to com­ment on the rea­son for his res­ig­na­tion.
