IGP orders high se­cu­rity

KARACHI: In the wake of Quetta at­tack, In­spec­tor Gen­eral of Po­lice Sindh AD Khowaja on Thurs­day or­dered po­lice to en­sure high se­cu­rity in the city.

IGP called all DIGs for en­hanc­ing mo­tor­cy­cle pa­trolling, snap check­ing and strength­en­ing ad­vance in­tel­li­gence col­lec­tion sys­tems in sen­si­tive ar­eas, gov­ern­ment in­sti­tu­tions, of­fices build­ings, rail­way sta­tions, air­ports, shop­ping cen­ters and all pub­lic places in their re­spec­tive ar­eas.

He also in­structed that stern ac­tion should be taken against crim­i­nals and sus­pi­cious ac­tiv­i­ties in the city. He fur­ther di­rected all dis­trict SSPs and SHOs that they should su­per­vise the se­cu­rity steps in their rel­e­vant ar­eas.
