Pak­istani woman killed in un­pro­voked In­dian fir­ing across LoC

ISLAMABAD: A 75year-old woman was killed in un­pro­voked fir­ing by In­dian forces along the LoC. on Tues­day.

Ac­cord­ing to the In­ter Ser­vices Public Re­la­tions (ISPR), the In­dian forces tar­geted Kakuta vil­lage in Chirikot sec­tor. Re­sul­tantly, a 75-year-old woman iden­ti­fied Mehmooda Begum lost her life in the in­ci­dent.

“In­dian bunkers en­gaged by Pak­istani troops,” the ISPR added.

The cease­fire vi­o­la­tion takes place two days af­ter In­dian BSF’s fir­ing in­jured a 10-year-old boy Umar in Bat­tal Sec­tor of AJK.

Ear­lier on Novem­ber 10, Prime Min­is­ter Shahid Khaqan Ab­basi and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen­eral Qa­mar Javed Ba­jwa vis­ited Line of Con­trol (LOC) in Chirikot sec­tor where they were briefed by Gen­eral Of­fi­cer Com­mand­ing on sit­u­a­tion along LOC, In­dian Cease Fire Vi­o­la­tions (CFVs) tar­get­ing civil­ians and be­fit­ting re­sponse by Pak­istanArmy.

The prime min­is­ter con­demned In­dian un­pro­fes­sional ap­proach of tar­get­ing in­no­cent civil­ians, stat­ing that that Pak­istan shall con­tinue its po­lit­i­cal, diplo­matic and moral sup­port to Kash­miris for their just strug­gle.
