FIA decides to transfer founder MQM case in Islamabad following security concerns
ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has refused to proceed investigations in Founder MQM case and decided to shift this case in Islamabad Anti-terrorism wing.
According to media reports, FIA officials have showed security concerns in case filed against founder MQM. The case was shifted in Anti -terrorism wing Islamabad from Karachi State Bank Circular.
Case was registered against founder MQM in October while FIA officers refused to initiate any investigations in the case amid security reasons.
DGFIA Bashir Memon has issued orders regarding case transfer while all related documents were also handed over to investigation wing. This investigation wing will monitor all activities regarding terror financing, money transferred in Altaf Hussain account through charity foundation Khidmat e Khalaq (KKF).
It is vital to mention here that this case was registered against Altaf Hussain and Khidmat e Khalaq foundation on complaint of Sarfaraz Merchant while other leaders of MQM including Arshad Vohra, Babar Ghori, and Khawaja Rehan Mansoor were also nominated suspects in the case.
