Traffic accident kills 8 and injures 30 in Sargodha
SARGODHA: Eight passengers have been killed and thirty seriously injured in a head on collision between bus and dumper near Chak No. 84 NB and the explosive bang was heard far away from the traffic accident site.
According to details passenger coach was on its way from Mandi Bahauddin to Multan via Sargodha. When the bus reached 84 NB Mor it collided with a recklessly driven dumper coming from the opposite direction resultantly killing six passengers and injuring 30 others.
Rescue teams and police reached the site and road was completely blocked due to the accident.
According to SHO of Thana Saddar Mohammad Yusuf the dead are eight and identified as Sajjad, Mohammad Bux, Aamir Shahzad, Imran and one dead could not be identified. The injured include Mohammad Sohail, Mohammad Riaz, Mohammad Faheem, Nasreen Bibi, Mohammad Ashraf, Khizar Hayat, Saghir Ahmad, Mohammad Asif, Adeel Ahmad, Qasir Abbas, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Saqlain, Mushtaq Ahmad, Imran, Hussain Allah Ditta, Manzoor Ahmad, Allah Ditta, Manzoor Ahmad, Ghulam Rasul and Maqbool among the 30 injured. The dead bodies have been handed over to their heirs. The injured have been shifted to District Teaching Hospital Sargodha and emergency has been declared in the hospital.
Involvement of fast and recklessly driven dumpers in the traffic accidents is common in Sargodha district.
