We need more trees

Dear Editor

In today’s world we are facing many environmental problems like global warming, soil erosion, increased greenhouse effect, wild life extinction, ozone depletion, pollution and etc. Solution to these problems lies in planting more trees.

The environmental benefits of planting trees are known to all. Trees are the primary source of environmental purification and beautification. They provide oxygen and inhale carbon dioxide. Trees maintain humidity in the air and maintain the ecological balance in the enviroment. They absorb all the harmful gases and gives us fresh and pure air to breathe in.

Trees are also the source of economic support, employment, oxygen generation, livestock grazing and etc. The government needs to make mass tree plantation for reducing environmental problems. Only the government is not responsible for planting more trees, but it is also our responsibility to grow more and more trees.
