100 mil­lion tree plant­ing cam­paign to start from June 15

IS­LAM­ABAD: One hun­dred mil­lion trees will be planted in coun­try dur­ing the up­com­ing mon­soon sea­son start­ing from Fri­day.

Ac­cord­ing to a re­port quot­ing an of­fi­cial, the Prime Min­is­ter’s five-year Green Pak­istan Pro­gramme has been launched as a na­tional cause and as a part of ef­forts to pro­tect the coun­try and its peo­ple from dev­as­tat­ing im­pacts of cli­mate change in­clude floods.

Forests are the ef­fec­tive way to boost the coun­try’s cli­mate change re­silience against neg­a­tive fall­outs of the cli­mate change.
