Mum­bai Po­lice beefs up se­cu­rity around Sal­man Khan

MUM­BAI: The Mum­bai Po­lice has beefed up se­cu­rity of Bol­ly­wood su­per­star Sal­man Khan after they were alerted by the Spe­cial Task Force (STF) of Haryana Po­lice about danger to the ac­tor.

Deadly gang­ster Lawrence Bish­noi of Ra­jasthan was sup­posed to be be­hind the threat to the star due to his al­leged in­volve­ment in the black buck case. This was re­vealed by Bish­noi's ally Sam­pat Nehra who is a sharp shooter. Nehra who had done a recce of the ac­tor's move­ments and was plan­ning the crime over the past few months was ar­rested by the Haryana Po­lice last Wed­nes­day.

While Nehra is now in po­lice cus­tody, his aides are still at large and they might reach Mum­bai to shoot Sal­man. Given the cir­cum­stances, the Mum­bai Po­lice have in­creased the se­cu­rity around Sal­man Khan with armed po­lice­men sta­tioned around his home and sets. They have also pro­vided him with per­sonal body­guards.

Sal­man is busy with the pro­mo­tions and the re­lease of his up­com­ing Hindi film ’Race 3’' which also stars Jac­que­line Fer­nan­dez, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Daisy Shah, Saqib Saleem amongst oth­ers.
