SC ad­mits for reg­u­lar hear­ing Khadija Sid­diqui ap­peal plea against ac­quit­tal of Shah Hus­sain

LA­HORE: Supreme Court (SC) has ad­mit­ted for reg­u­lar hear­ing ap­peal plea filed by Kha­di­aja Sid­diqui against ac­quit­tal of the ac­cused Shah Hus­sain and main­tained the fur­ther pro­ceed­ings in the case will be con­ducted after sum­mer va­ca­tions.

The court di­rected the ac­cused Shah Hus­sain to file surety bond valu­ing one lac ru­pees .

A two mem­bers bench of SC headed by Jus­tice Asif Saeed Khosa took up for hear­ing ap­peal plea filed by Khadija Sid­diqui on Wed­nes­day. Through this ap­peal plea high court de­ci­sion on ac­quit­tal of Shah Hus­sain has been chal­lenged.

Khadija Sid­diqui and Shah Hus­sain ap­peared in the court along with their lawyers.

Jus­tice Asif Saeed Khosa in­quired what was rea­son that Khadija Sid­diqui and her younger sis­ter lev­eled charges against Shah Hus­sain leav­ing all oth­ers.

When in­quired by the bench it was in­formed that Khadija Sid­diqui and Shah Hus­sain are both law stu­dents.

Jus­tice Asif Saeed Khosa pointed out that the in­ci­dent took place dur­ing day time. Had there been a night time then there could have been some room for doubt.
