PHC or­ders forced re­tire­ment of ses­sion judge

PE­SHAWAR: Pe­shawar High Court (PHC) has is­sued or­ders for send­ing on forced re­tire­ment of ses­sion Judge for lev­el­ing base­less charges against sit­ting and for­mer Judges.

It is stated in the state­ment is­sued by the PHC that PHC has is­sued di­rec­tions of forced re­tire­ment of OSD dis­trict and ses­sion judge Azim Afridi.

Azim Afridi lev­eled base­less al­le­ga­tions against for­mer and serv­ing judges and sent com­plaints to Pres­i­dent of Pak­istan Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Min­is­ter Pak­istan Im­ran Khan by vi­o­lat­ing dis­ci­pline code.

Ac­cord­ing to the state­ment, For­mer judge was given full op­por­tu­nity to prove his in­no­cence but he could not sat­isfy su­pe­rior ju­di­ciary on which court or­dered his com­pul­sory re­tire­ment.
